Guan Yu Presented as a Commanding Mounted Warrior

Guan Yu sits high on a rearing warhorse with his torso upright, shoulders open, and gaze directed beyond the immediate action. The posture conveys authority rather than panic, allowing the horse to supply the explosive movement while the general remains composed. His stern face, long beard, and green head covering establish the unmistakable martial portrait.

Green Dragon Crescent Blade Defines the Reach of the Statue

The Green Dragon Crescent Blade extends diagonally away from the rider, giving the composition a long sweeping attack line. Its broad dark blade is balanced by a gold dragon-shaped fitting and a substantial shaft, turning the weapon into a sculptural counterweight to the horse's raised forequarters. The extended weapon also makes Guan Yu's battlefield dominance physically visible.

Layered Green Robes and Dragon-Patterned Armor

Guan Yu's signature green clothing is built from multiple surfaces: a patterned chest garment, flowing outer robe, dark underlayers, and armored sections edged in gold. Dragon embroidery travels across the fabric, while scale plates, shoulder armor, guards, belts, and red tassels add the density of a fully equipped commander without hiding the recognizable green silhouette.

Warhorse Anatomy and Ornamental Tack

The horse rises through the scene with a lifted chest, powerful neck, open mouth, and forelegs thrown forward. Sculpted musculature and skin folds convey the strain of the movement, while the bridle, reins, decorated breast straps, saddle armor, circular fittings, and red tassels create a historically inspired ceremonial finish around the animal.

Polystone is combined with real fabric, leather, PVC/fabric elements, and metal to separate hard armor, flexible reins, garments, hair, and weapon details. At approximately H81 x D91 x W56 cm, the statue uses its 91 cm depth for the rearing horse and extended crescent blade, producing a broad, imposing centerpiece rather than a compact vertical portrait.
